Ansiao - Property Location

The property is on the edge of a small typical Portuguese village 4km from the market town of Ansiao with shops banks, medical centre, restaurants and cafes. Coimbra, a bustling Mediterranean city with one of Europe’s oldest universities is a 35 min drive away.

White sandy beaches are a 30min drive to the west and stretch endlessly north and south of Figueira da Foz.


Plot Characteristics

Nestled in an old olive grove dotted with wild strawberry trees and on the outskirts of a quaint Portuguese village, the plot of land is almost rectangular measuring over ½ an acre (2,200m2) and sits at 215m above sea level. Water, electricity are on the property and phone lines close by. Really nice views look out over a carpet of trees to the mountains in the distance. At present, the views are partially blocked by some of the trees on the land. When building starts the trees will be removed and re planted.

A very private setting, yet near to the village and local market town.

House Characteristics

The house is positioned on the higher part of the land to be able to appreciate the views to the maximum and looks out over the pool and gardens in front. External architecture is typical of the local area and gives an impressive final appearance. Internally, the rooms are larger than average and the French windows, no less than six in all, interconnect the interior living areas with the outside verandas and terraces. The house actually has 4 bedrooms but the downstairs one could serve as a study or second living room. The adjacent bathroom could easily be made into a suite by adding an additional door should the bedroom option be chosen.
