The ancien woods of diverse flora have 100 years of care and are well looked

The farm walls are made of granite.
The building project is now approved by the Portuguese
General Direction of Turism
and by the Town City Hall, and it engages the constrution:
- Four Star Hotel, with 80 rooms and 4 suites;
- 1 Aparthotel with 50 apartments;
- 1 Auditorium with 350 seats;
- 1 Sportive/geriatrics medical clinic;
- 1 Sport complex with covered swimming pool;
- 1 running track ;
- 1 tennis court.
Also 2 other projects:
- 1 Luxury Restaurant;
- 1 Commercial Gallery, wich may suffer some ajustments.
Accesses and infra structures
The west access is made through the national road 599
and by public path.
When the Via do Ave (Ave way) is conclud, wich will be at a distance of 300mts
from the tourism
project, it will shorten the ways to the Cavado and the valleys, that currently
are:
- From the exit of the O`Porto- Braga highway will be of a distance of 35
km;
- From the Francisco Sá Carneiro ( O`Porto) will be at a distance of
80 km;
- 80 km distant from O`Porto by Highway nº3 and National Road nº103;
- 100 km from Spain/ Galiza by the Chaves border, National Road nº103;
- 20 km from Spain/Galiza by the Portela do Homem border (National Park of
Peneda Gerês);
- 12 km from Gerês by the National Road nº304;
- 30 km from Braga by National Road nº103;
- 25 km from Guimarães by the National Roads nº101, nº310
and nº103.
Water supply
Is made through gravity by extracting water from several mines that exist westward and other existing in the farm.

Is made through public net.

Tourism Perspective
This is an investment project of considerable dimension
that is integrated in a dynamic
and development perspective of the region. It shows potentials and conditions
of revitalizing
the socio-economic aspect of the rural area limits, taking into consideration
The existing natural and human resources, re-establishing and promoting the
cultural and
traditional patrimony of the region; it will progressively induce the offer
of qualified labour
hand, and the services will be highly competitive and unquestionably rentable.
The three axis in which it is based will follow an integrated logic, and will
put in perspective
the development of economic areas of fundamental dynamic.
These will endow the region a competitive and unequal capacity in granting
specific services
and qualified hand labour
These three basis axis correspond to three different yet complementary investment
areas:
A tourism product with a diversified program highly rentable that comprehends
an hotel and
a 4 stars aparthotel, swimming pool, tennis court and mini golf, hippodrome,
restaurants,
maintenance tracks and pedestrian pathways; a sport complex that has a different
pavilion
for each sport, a covered and heated swimming pool, multiuse training spaces,
running tracks
and medical clinic; a cultural and pofessional training in tourism space,
that comprehends a
closed auditorium and another one in open air for congresses and other culture
activities,
a specialized library in tourism, sports areas and a showroom.
This project is integrated in the coherent strategy of development of the
AMAVE`s strategic plan,
and its structures will allow the fulfilment of the rural development strategicthat
are supported
by the tourism area and the improvement of the natural, human and patrimonial
resources existing,
with fundamental vectors in the professional training, education and service
grant, that are priority
strategies of response of basic wants in the deprived inner areas. This project
fulfil structure gaps
in the area, and its economic dynamics potential will encourage the productive
capacity of the region,
will also create new jobs and additional richness; generate new investment,
attract the implanting
of strategic basic services and fixate the populations.
Tourism Project of São Roque
Sports, Culture, Pleasure and Congresses
- Occupies the area 15 ha.
- The difference in height between the lower and higher spot is 92 mts.
- 442 mts entrance gate is designed and made of granite and is in a semi-circle
and marks 2 exes:
1. East/West: structures and connects all the buildings of the turism ensemble
until
the quota of 382 mts, the lower one.
2. South/North: marks a straight way up to the house of carvalhas, dated of
1946, sided by
hydrangeas, rose bushes, walnut trees, vineyards and chestnut, between flowers
and open horizon..
ancien trees of long branches can be seen together with the blue sky; a treeis
surrounded
by a circular bench in granite and coloured tile of popular motifs, we can
see Cabreira and
Ermal hils and on the top we see a beautiful water mirror that reflects the
same on the left.
5 morrors more of water , which is captured of the high hills, runs through
the lands and supplies
the vineyards of Loureiro, Azal, Vinhão, Pedemá, Borraçal,
that are planted between irregular
stone walls, with light stairs facing the creek of Cantelães.
Going onwards the House and Chapel of São Roque, dated of 1692 and
1910, situated among
the trees in a clean land, and amoung a coat of coloured dead leafs on the
ground.
There are cedar tracks, narcissus, sequoias, araucarias, a lot of oak trees,
shades of green, yellow,
pastel, red and brown , smells of jasmine, roses, magnolias, with arbutus
berry pointed with holly,
and mushrooms and green moss lighted by the sun.
The Chapel, situated at 474mts high, has in its front
a cork oak of the same age.
Around the House and the Chapel we can see different trees, mainly oak trees,
a magnolia and sequoia out.
There are beautiful colours produced by rose bushes, azaleas, wisterias, jasmines,
and other unknown flowers and bushes.
The swimming pool is a small mirror and the Ermal a bigger one, that can be
seen
in a wide, open mountain panoramic.
The Gerês is situated at North, the Cabreira is at northeast, Ermal
is at South and
at west the São Roque valley.
The breathtaking landscape is as variable as the morning fog.
